SME predicts three year payback for MPLS CMYK opts for VoIP from NetworkFlow
CMYK Digital Solutions, an office equipment and IT reseller and support provider, is predicting a three year payback for its next generation MPLS network from NetworkFlow which has resulted in seamless communications and zero call costs.
CMYK provides sales, service and support for everything from a single printer or copier to large, multi-site customers. Founded in Edinburgh in 1996, the company has quickly expanded, growing to 54 staff, and adding satellite offices in Manchester, Glasgow and Aberdeen. This has led to increasing duplication of tasks and effort and the flow of communications was very slow.
David Crosby, Service Operations Director at CMYK Digital Solutions Ltd, explains: “We’ve installed an MPLS VoIP system from NetworkFlow across our whole estate – linking all four of the offices together and providing Internet access to each of them. We now work smarter and have some quantifiable benefits to justify the spend in what are undoubtedly troubled times for the economy as a whole. Our cost savings are in excess of £45,000 and we expect payback of less than 3 years for the network overall.”
The cost savings have resulted from the fact that CMYK now has only one PBX located in Edinburgh which provides seamless communications and zero call costs across the network. Furthermore, the MPLS network from NetworkFlow has allowed all of the IT management systems to be centralised in Edinburgh, enabling engineers across the sites to book calls outs and manage the business much more productively and profitably.
Crosby continues: “We chose NetworkFlow above a few big name players and the reasons for doing so were very clear. They are one of the few managed services providers in the UK to own their own MPLS core which meant that they could offer us a next generation solution at price that we could afford. We were also dealing with real people who understood our specific requirements and who could deliver with solid technology and a great after care service.”
David Alexander, commercial director of NetworkFlow comments: “Many SMEs like CMYK fear that they won’t be able to afford the latest technology but our next generation core network allows us to reduce cost and complexity and provide them with a solution that suits their pocket.”
Alexander concludes: “Using an MPLS IP Virtual Private Network (IP VPN) reduces network complexity and saves money. Rather than setting up and managing individual points between each office, customers like CMYK need to have only one connection from their office router to the service provider edge router. It provides the glue they need to operate as one efficient, seamless company.”
